How our story began...
Hello there, my name is Meggy Leigh!
I have been obsessed with the beauty and elegance of masquerades ever since I was introduced to the idea at 9 years of age. It started with 2 movies that premiered around that time, in the year 2004; Van Helsing and Phantom of the Opera. Both movies featured grand masquerades with exquisite music, costumes, and settings that were just mesmerizing to watch. Being someone who, from a very young age, grew up inspired by vampires, ghosts, and a pure gothic sense of fashion, the masquerades in those movies just seemed to radiate all of which I wished to embody as a person, and since then, have only fantasized of being able to attend one of these glamorous events in all their gothic glory. Later on in life, I met someone who became a close friend at the time, and we started Fantasticarium.
Beginning with having the same dream of attending a masquerade, we quickly found that such an event is a very rare find. For years the both of us have discussed our wish and had come to a conclusion, that of which you see here. We decided that, between the two of us, we could very well begin a group dedicated to bringing to life these fantastic celebrations and finally get to have the grand masquerade ball we so ardently desire. So, although that person is no longer a part of this dream, here we are!
If you yourself have wished to dance the night away, like the princess, fairy, evil queen, prince, knight, elf, king, vampire, goblin, ghost, or whatever you are, then you are very welcomed to join us as we “Enter the Realm of the Fantastic” and create for ourselves the masquerade of our dreams.
